Top 20 Female Players in the World – An Honest assessment

Well, a while back the tennis doc had a go at this.  I’m gonna give it a shot with the ladies now (so to speak)

Ok, I’m judging them in the following category:

* Would they have any chance of beating Stefi Graf at her 1988 peak?

1. Caroline Wozniacki (Den)  –  Not at her current level

2. Kim Clijsters (Bel) – Maybe

3. Vera Zvonareva (Rus) – Definitely No

4. Francesca Schiavone (Ita) – Definitely No

5. Victoria Azarenka (Blr) – No chance

6. Samantha Stosur (Aus) –  Not a prayer

7. Na Li (Chn) – No

8. Jelena Jankovic (Ser) – Wouldn’t even win a game

9. Maria Sharapova (Rus) – Maybe

10. Serena Williams (US) – Maybe

11. Shahar Peer (Isr) – No

12. Marion Bartoli (Fra) – Maybe (if she bucks up her ideas and listens to my training advice)

13. Svetlana Kuznetsova (Rus) – No

14. Agnieszka Radwanska (Pol) – Not a chance

15. Venus Williams (US) – No

16. Kaia Kanepi (Est) – No way

17. Anna Ivanovic (Ser) – Would struggle to win a point, let alone a game

19. Andrea Petkovic (Ger) – Nah

20. Flavia Pennetta (Ita) – No way

So there you have it.  Female tennis has gone backward. Shame.

Caroline Wozniacki is still a legend in my book though.

In terms of most attractive player, she’s definitely number one…by some distance.

Top Drawer!
